Technologies in New Zealand
From React front ends and Node.js back ends to Flutter apps, AWS infrastructure and AI built on PyTorch and LangChain, EIT Connect brings the right technology to every project, not just the one we're used to.
Introduction
The technology behind your product decides how fast it loads, how easily it scales and how much it costs to maintain years from now. Picking the wrong stack is one of the most expensive mistakes a business can make, and it usually doesn't show until it's too late. That's why we don't start with a favourite framework. Our team works across the full technology spectrum, from front-end and back-end development to mobile, cloud, DevOps, databases, testing and AI. We look at your goals, budget, timeline and in-house skills, then recommend the stack that fits. Then we build it with the top technology experience that comes from shipping real products, not just reading the docs.
Our Technology Stack
Nine layers, one team. Every technology links to its own page; every layer links to the software development services that put it to work.
The front end is what your users see and touch, so it has to be fast, accessible and work on every screen. We build responsive interfaces, single-page apps and server-rendered sites with clean, reusable components that your team can extend later.
What we build with it Customer portals, dashboards, SaaS interfaces, marketing sites and SEO-friendly web apps built with Next.js server-side rendering.
A strong back end keeps your product secure, stable and quick under load. Our engineers write APIs, business logic and integrations in the language that suits the job, whether that's Node.js for real-time features, Python for data-heavy work or Go and Rust where raw performance matters.
What we build with it REST and GraphQL APIs, payment and third-party integrations, admin panels, microservices and high-traffic platforms.
Proven frameworks let us build faster without reinventing the basics. We use PHP frameworks for dependable web apps, Python frameworks for APIs and data services, full JavaScript stacks for end-to-end builds, and AI frameworks for machine learning and LLM-powered features.
What we build with it Web applications, API back ends, MVPs, recommendation engines, chatbots and AI assistants built on large language models.
We build native apps when you need top performance and device features, and cross-platform apps when you want one codebase for both stores. Either way, you get smooth, well-tested apps ready for the App Store and Google Play.
What we build with it eCommerce apps, booking and delivery apps, fitness and healthcare apps, internal field-team tools and companion apps for SaaS products.
Good data design is the quiet foundation of every fast, reliable product. We choose relational or NoSQL databases based on how your data is shaped and queried, then design schemas, indexes and backups so performance holds up as you grow. For reporting, we turn that data into clear dashboards.
What we build with it Transactional systems, product catalogues, real-time and offline-first apps, data migrations and business intelligence dashboards.
We design cloud setups that scale with demand and don't surprise you with the bill. Our team handles architecture, migration, security and cost optimization on all three major platforms.
What we build with it Cloud migration, serverless applications, auto-scaling infrastructure, managed databases and secure file storage.
DevOps is how good code reaches your users quickly and safely. We automate builds, tests and deployments, build security checks into the pipeline and set up monitoring, so releases become routine instead of stressful.
What we build with it CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated security scanning, containerized deployments and uptime monitoring.
Jamstack sites are pre-built, served from a CDN and pulled together with APIs, which makes them extremely fast and hard to hack. We use TezJS to build static and hybrid sites that score well on Core Web Vitals.
What we build with it High-speed marketing websites, landing pages, documentation sites and content-heavy sites that need top performance.
Bugs found before launch cost a fraction of bugs found by customers. Our QA engineers combine manual testing with automated suites that run on every release, across browsers, devices and APIs.
What we build with it Automated regression suites, cross-browser and mobile device testing, end-to-end user journey tests and release sign-off.
Top Technology Experience by Use Case
Every project is different, but these combinations are where our top technology experience runs deepest. Use them as a starting point; we'll adjust to your needs.
| Project type | Typical stack |
|---|---|
| SaaS platforms | React or Next.js, Node.js or NestJS, PostgreSQL, AWS, Cypress |
| eCommerce and marketplaces | Next.js, Laravel or Node.js, MySQL, AWS or Google Cloud |
| Mobile apps | Flutter or React Native, Firebase, Node.js API; Swift and Kotlin for native builds |
| AI and LLM features | Python, FastAPI, LangChain, PyTorch or TensorFlow, PostgreSQL |
| Enterprise applications | Java or C#, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps |
| High-speed marketing sites | TezJS (Jamstack), Tailwind CSS, headless CMS |

How We Choose Your Technology
The same thinking behind every custom software development project we take on.
We start with what the product needs to do and who will use it, not with a preferred language.
We plan for the traffic and data you expect in two to three years, not just on launch day.
Hosting, licences, developer availability and maintenance all go into the recommendation.
If your in-house developers will take over, we choose technologies they can work with comfortably.
We match the stack to your data protection and industry requirements from day one.
Why EIT Connect
We recommend what suits your project, even when it isn't the most fashionable option.
Front end, back end, mobile, cloud, DevOps and QA work together, so nothing gets lost between handovers.
Every project comes with readable code and documentation, so you're never locked in to us.
We use current tools like Next.js, FastAPI and LangChain alongside proven workhorses like Java and PostgreSQL.
Automated tests with Selenium, Cypress and Appium are part of the build, not an extra.
We stay on after launch for updates, upgrades, scaling and new features.
Real products we have built, and the stacks behind them.
The commercial vehicles website for Tata Motors: the full range of trucks, buses and pickups, a dealer locator and enquiry journeys in one place.
A Shopify store for premium cricket gear: bats, balls, gloves and accessories, organised so players find the right kit quickly.
A bold, playful Shopify storefront for That Sassy Thing, an intimate wellness brand founded by women in India.
WoodenStreet’s online furniture store, built on Next.js: a large catalogue of furniture and home décor with offers, bulk orders and franchise enquiries.
Cbazaar’s store for Indian ethnic wear: sarees, lehengas and salwar kameez, with collections for weddings and festive seasons.
Beardo’s Shopify store for men’s grooming: beard, hair, fragrance and body care, shopped by category.
EIT Connect works across front-end (React, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js), back-end (Node.js, Python, Java, C#, Go, Rust, Ruby on Rails), mobile (Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin), cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), databases, DevOps, QA and AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and LangChain.
We base it on your goals, expected scale, budget, timeline, security needs and who will maintain the product. You get a written recommendation with the reasons before any development starts.
Yes. We regularly take over, extend and modernize existing products, and we can work alongside your in-house team in the stack they already use.
Choose cross-platform (Flutter or React Native) if you want one codebase for iOS and Android at a lower cost. Choose native (Swift or Kotlin) when you need maximum performance or deep device features.
Yes. We build chatbots, AI assistants, recommendation engines and document processing tools using Python, FastAPI, LangChain, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
There's no single best option. AWS has the widest range of services, Azure suits businesses already using Microsoft tools, and Google Cloud is strong for data and AI workloads. We recommend based on your needs and budget.
Yes. We plan migrations in stages, such as moving a legacy back end to Node.js or Python or a monolith to the cloud, so your product keeps running while it's modernized.
Yes. Every project includes QA with automated and manual testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium and TestNG.
Tell us about your project and we'll suggest a stack that fits your goals, budget and timeline, with the reasons behind it. No obligation, just honest advice from our technology experts.
