Migration Audit & Planning
An inventory of pages, posts, media, forms, integrations and traffic, with a URL map, risks and a fixed estimate before work begins.
Migration Services
Move from any CMS or site builder to WordPress, with your content, design and search rankings intact.
Introduction
EIT Connect provides WordPress migration services for businesses moving off site builders, ageing open-source CMSs, marketing platforms and enterprise systems. People migrate a website to WordPress for different reasons: licence costs, editing pain, missing features, or simply outgrowing a builder. The risk is the same each time: lose the URLs and you lose the rankings, the backlinks and the leads that came with them. Our approach is the same too: audit everything, map every URL, move content with scripts wherever the platform allows, rebuild where it doesn't, and keep the old site live until the new one is proven.
What We Offer
Our CMS to WordPress migration services cover the full move, from audit to post-launch monitoring.
An inventory of pages, posts, media, forms, integrations and traffic, with a URL map, risks and a fixed estimate before work begins.
Your current design recreated as a fast WordPress theme with editable blocks, or refreshed if the move is a chance to modernise.
Pages, blog posts, authors, categories, images and documents moved with scripts where exports exist, and carefully rebuilt where they don't.
Listings, products, events, team profiles and other structured content moved into custom post types and fields your team can manage.
Contact forms, CRMs, email tools, payment gateways and analytics reconnected and tested so leads and data keep flowing.
Stores moved to WooCommerce with products, customers and order history, or to Shopify if that suits you better.
301 redirects for every old URL, metadata and schema carried over, internal links updated, sitemaps submitted and Search Console checked.
Staging sign-off, a planned DNS switch, and 30 days of monitoring for ranking changes, 404 errors and form issues after go-live.
Platforms
We move sites from five broad groups of platforms. Where we have a dedicated page, follow the link for platform-specific detail.
Wix to WordPress migration is mostly a rebuild, because Wix offers very little export. Squarespace to WordPress migration is easier for blog posts and basic pages thanks to its XML export, but layouts still need rebuilding. Webflow and Framer sites move with their designs recreated as WordPress themes.
Move the website to WordPress while keeping HubSpot CRM, email and forms connected. See our HubSpot to WordPress migration page.
Full database access means content, users and taxonomies can be migrated with scripts. See our Drupal and Joomla to WordPress pages.
Template and component mapping, multilingual content and integrations moved in phases. See our Sitecore and AEM to WordPress pages.
Content pulled from databases or files and rebuilt in WordPress, with custom features recreated as plugins. See our Django to WordPress page.
Export Reality
This is why some migrations are quick content moves and others are rebuilds.
| Source platform | What can be exported | What has to be rebuilt |
|---|---|---|
| Wix | Very little; blog post text via RSS at best | Pages, design, layouts and most content |
| Squarespace | XML export of blog posts and basic pages | Design, layouts, product and gallery pages |
| Webflow / Framer | CMS collections as CSV (Webflow); limited from Framer | Design, interactions and page layouts |
| HubSpot CMS | Blog posts and some content | HubL templates, modules, landing pages |
| Drupal / Joomla | Full database: content, users, taxonomies | Theme and some custom modules |
| Sitecore / AEM | Content via serialization, packages or APIs | Components, templates and personalisation |
| Custom / static | Database or HTML files | Theme and any custom functionality |
Tech Stack
WordPress is the most common destination for site migrations for three reasons.
Your site, content and data live on hosting you choose, with no platform deciding what you can and can't change.
Thousands of plugins and full code access mean new features don't depend on a platform's roadmap.
A familiar editor for marketing teams, a large developer pool and no per-seat CMS licence fees.
How We Work
Seven steps to migrate a website to WordPress without losing what it has built up.
Your current platform, site size, integrations, traffic and goals.
Every page, post, file and form listed and mapped to its new WordPress URL.
WordPress theme and blocks built on staging.
Scripted where possible, rebuilt where necessary, then checked against the original.
Forms, CRMs, analytics, redirects, metadata and sitemaps set up and tested.
Functional, speed and mobile checks, then a planned DNS switch with rollback ready.
30 days of monitoring for rankings, 404s and form issues, plus handover and training.
Why EIT Connect
A cheap migration that copies pages without redirects can cost you years of search rankings. As an any CMS to WordPress migration agency, we focus on what keeps your traffic and leads intact.
Full URL mapping and 301 redirects, so search engines and old links land in the right place.
Content moved programmatically wherever the platform allows, for accuracy at any scale.
We tell you upfront which parts are content moves and which are rebuilds, so the estimate holds.
Thirty days of monitoring after go-live, not a hand-off on launch day.
Experienced teams delivering from India, whether you hand us the whole project or outsource one part, with the finished site fully yours.
WordPress migration services move a website from another CMS or site builder to WordPress. They include auditing the old site, rebuilding the design as a WordPress theme, migrating content and media, reconnecting forms and integrations, setting up 301 redirects and monitoring search performance after launch.
We migrate from Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, HubSpot CMS, Drupal, Joomla, Sitecore, AEM, Kentico, Sitefinity, Django, static HTML and custom PHP or .NET sites, among others.
Not if the migration is planned properly. We map every old URL to its new one, add 301 redirects, keep metadata and headings, update internal links and monitor Search Console after launch. Short-term movement can happen; lasting drops usually come from missing redirects.
Yes. Wix to WordPress migration is mostly a rebuild because Wix offers very little export. We recreate your design and pages in WordPress, move content carefully, and redirect every Wix URL to its new WordPress address.
Squarespace provides an XML export that covers blog posts and basic pages, which we import into WordPress. Layouts, galleries and product pages are rebuilt, and every URL is redirected so rankings carry over.
Cost depends on the source platform, number of pages and posts, custom content, eCommerce, integrations and whether you want a redesign. A small Squarespace site costs far less than an enterprise Sitecore or AEM move. We share a fixed quote after an audit.
Small site-builder migrations usually take 3 to 6 weeks. Mid-size Drupal, Joomla or HubSpot sites take 6 to 10 weeks, and enterprise CMS migrations typically take 3 to 6 months.
Look for experience with your source platform, a written URL and redirect plan, scripted content migration, staging and testing before launch, and monitoring after go-live. Avoid page-by-page copying without redirects. EIT Connect offers all of this with one team.
Tell us your current platform and we'll send a migration plan with scope, risks and a fixed estimate.
