Website Vulnerability Assessment
Automated scanning plus manual checks to confirm real issues and remove false alarms.
Website Security
Find the weak spots in your website before attackers do, then get them fixed and retested by the same team.
Introduction
A website security audit from EIT Connect checks your site the way an attacker would, then tells you in plain language what's wrong, how serious it is and how to fix it. Most website breaches don't involve clever new attacks. They come from outdated plugins, weak logins, exposed backup files and forms that accept more than they should. Because we're a development team, we can also fix what we find and retest it, so you end up with a safer website, not just a longer to-do list.
What We Offer
Pick a focused check or a full audit, with fixes if you want them.
Automated scanning plus manual checks to confirm real issues and remove false alarms.
Controlled, permission-based attempts to exploit weaknesses in logins, forms and access controls.
Core, plugins, themes, user roles, file permissions and configuration checked against known vulnerabilities.
TLS setup, security headers, exposed directories, open ports and server software versions.
Custom code and third-party libraries checked for known vulnerabilities and unsafe patterns.
Passwords, two-step login, admin accounts, roles and session handling reviewed.
Where forms and databases store personal data, and whether it's protected in line with the DPDP Act.
Our developers fix the findings you approve, then we retest and confirm each one is closed.
Coverage
The most common targets on the web, and the area where we find the most issues.
Bespoke code, admin panels and APIs reviewed in depth, alongside our software testing team.
React, Next.js and headless front ends, plus the APIs behind them.
Themes, apps, access and integrations. The platform itself is secured by the provider, so scope focuses on what you control. Ongoing care is covered by our Shopify maintenance services.
Audit Scope
| Area | What we look for | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Outdated software | Old CMS, plugins, themes, libraries and server software | The most common way sites get hacked |
| Injection and scripting | Forms and URLs that accept harmful input | Can expose data or take over pages |
| Access control | Pages and files reachable without the right login | Leaks private data or admin features |
| Logins | Weak passwords, no two-step login, unlimited attempts | Brute-force attacks |
| Headers and TLS | Missing security headers, weak HTTPS settings | Easier attacks on visitors |
| Exposed files | Backups, logs, config files and directory listings | Gives attackers a map of your site |
| Third-party scripts | Chat, tracking and payment scripts with too much access | A compromised script affects every visitor |
| Email domain settings | SPF, DKIM and DMARC records | Stops others sending email as you |
| Logging and backups | Whether attacks would be noticed and recovered from | Shorter, cheaper incidents |
Checks are aligned with the OWASP Top 10, the widely used list of the most critical web application risks.
Compliance
Some organisations must use a security auditor on CERT-In's empanelled list, including many RBI-regulated entities, SEBI-regulated intermediaries, insurers and government websites. If that applies to you, your regulator may not accept a report from a non-empanelled firm. We'll tell you at the start. We can still prepare your website for that audit and fix the findings it raises. For most private business websites, an independent audit like ours is what you need.
Tech Stack
Fixing a weakness costs far less than malware removal, hacked website repair, lost data or being blacklisted.
Forms and accounts hold personal data that the DPDP Act expects you to protect.
Enterprise customers and partners increasingly ask for proof that your website is secure.
How We Work
Seven clear steps, agreed in writing before any testing starts.
We agree what's in scope, when testing happens and how, in writing.
We map your pages, logins, forms, APIs, plugins and server setup.
Scanners look for known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
Our testers confirm each finding and look for issues scanners miss.
Every finding with a severity rating, evidence and clear fix steps, plus a plain-language summary.
Our developers fix the findings you approve, starting with the most serious.
We confirm every fix works and issue a closure summary.
Pricing
Website security audit cost depends mainly on:
We share a fixed quote after a short scoping call.
Why EIT Connect
Our developers close the findings and we retest, so the audit ends with a safer site.
Every finding is manually verified, so you don't waste time on false alarms.
A plain-language summary for owners and detailed steps for developers.
If you need a CERT-In empanelled auditor, we'll say so upfront.
Ongoing protection through our WordPress maintenance services and DevSecOps practice.
A website security audit is a structured check of your site's software, server, logins, forms, code and data handling to find vulnerabilities. It ends with a report rating each issue by severity, with evidence and steps to fix it.
A website vulnerability assessment finds and confirms weaknesses, mostly through scanning plus manual checks. A penetration test goes further and safely tries to exploit them, to show what an attacker could actually do. Many audits combine both.
Cost depends on the size and complexity of the site, the depth of testing, how much custom code there is, whether fixes and retests are included, and any compliance format required. We share a fixed quote after a short scoping call.
A standard business or WordPress website usually takes a few working days to test and report. Larger sites, custom applications and APIs take longer. Fixes and retests are scheduled after the report.
Testing is agreed in writing beforehand and uses safe methods. Riskier tests can be run on a staging copy or at quiet times, so customers aren't affected.
Only if a regulator or contract requires one, which is common for RBI-regulated entities, SEBI-regulated intermediaries, insurers and government websites. For most private business websites, an independent audit is enough. We'll tell you which applies before you commit.
Yes, if you want us to. Our developers fix the findings you approve, starting with the most serious, and then we retest and confirm each one is closed.
At least once a year, and after any major change such as a redesign, a new platform, new payment or login features, or a security incident. Sites handling payments or sensitive data benefit from more frequent checks.
